Your perfect life: award winning search feature
A first in the industry, Royal LePage created a tool that allows consumers the ability to search based on lifestyle. My role as the Marketing lead was to curate each category name, as well as provide design direction and content for each of the profiles identified, as well as work with the tech team to help build a comprehensive map of the country based on the key demographic information collected via a third party company.
The tool makes searching for areas that might be better suited to one’s lifestyle easier, using the demographic information attached to the IP address to make certain assertions about the neighbourhood. The feature won two national marketing awards from The Canadian Marketing Association:
CMA Award Bronze (Experiential and Innovative Media – Consumer Services)
CMA Award Gold (Environics Analytics Data Marketing Award)
Found on the home page of the national website, the feature encouraged users to look for areas that might be attuned to their lifestyle, simply by location.
Users had the ability to modify their search options, based on income, average age, age/number of children, job type and family status.
The search feature would be based in IP address, generating a lifestyle category that is associated with that particular area.
To promote the new feature on the national website, we ran an advertising campaign on Facebook.
